I am sending the
picture of a SP2 that I went proprietor for two years. I liked the car
a lot and it was very pleasant to recuperate. Unhappily, at that time,
an irrecusable "offer" made to sell me the car. If regret killed...
A car that only left great memories.
He was acquired in November of 1983 and, according to the documentation
of the time, it was always here of Brasília. I don't remind the
old owner's name, but I can advance that he didn't take care nor
a little of the car.
I sold here in Brasília in September of 1985, but I don't also remember
the buyer's name. About six months later, I found my old SP2 and
I was very sad with the scene: kneaded, dirty and without the strips
and lateral erasers.

When I acquiring, he was with the bodywork in good conditions, not being
necessary panel-beating repairs, but the former-owner had "bruise"
a lot the car: The banks were torn and, one of them, with structure it
interns broken; the instruments of the panel were with the burned lights;
didn't have the original steering wheel, it lacked for shock back left
side; the external retrovisor had been substituted by a carenado; the
rugs were worn-out and the erasers of the damaged doors. Beyond of that
he needed a general mechanical revision.
The one that I did: painting; it welds in the damaged bank and recovery
of the estofamento; revision of the electric part (illumination of the
panel, courtesy lights, lights, you blink, flashlights, etc.) ;substitution
of the erasers of the doors (besides the back
cover); substitution of the steering wheel for other original one, substitution
of the horn; revision of the sound (I changed the tape recorder TKR for
a Bosch Volkswagem) and speakers; substitution of the external rearmirror
for one original; total substitution of the carpet and the following alterations
in the mechanics: changes of the shock absorber, direction box, bar front
estabilizer, general adjustment of the motor, change of retainers of oil
of the motor and exhaust. It is worth to point out that still if they
found some pieces in stores of the square. The steering wheel and the
bumper me I found in one it unmakes here in Brasília.

The best of the time
in that went proprietor of SP2 it was to try to leave him the closest
of the possible original. I got to find some pieces in stores of the square,
for instance, the game of erasers was forgotten in the shelf of a specialized
store in erasers of automobiles and it was the last game. The back bumper
was another luck: In it unmakes I found it well a SP2 destroyed by a front
beat, but the left back bumper was intact. I spent more or less about
eight months to leave it with the appearance of the picture and they only
lacked the original wheels and the back skirt that copper the exhaust.
To accompany the modification was very gratifying. He gave feather to
sell it, but it was a good offer. It was worth apena to be proprietor
of SP2!
